Story Unfold is an event website builder that helps couples and families create a beautiful online home for their wedding, birthday, debut, or baptism — their story, RSVP, photos, and more. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Story Unfold, how we use it, and your rights over that information.
Story Unfold ("we," "our," or "us") is owned and operated as a sole proprietorship registered in the Philippines. You can reach us at support.storyunfold@gmail.com for any privacy-related concerns.
We collect only what we need to operate the platform. This falls into two categories:

We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We do not use your data for advertising purposes. We use the information we collect to:
When your guests visit your event website and submit an RSVP or guestbook entry, they are providing personal information to you (the event organizer) through our platform. You are responsible for informing your guests that their information will be collected and for using that data only for purposes related to your wedding, birthday, debut, baptism, or other event.
Event websites on the free plan include a small Story Unfold branding badge. Paid plans remove this badge. Your event website — on any plan — stays live for 1 year after your event date; see Section 6 for what happens after that.
We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
Paid event websites are automatically and permanently deleted exactly 1 year after the event date. Free-plan event websites follow a shorter clock: they are automatically unpublished 3 days after creation, and permanently deleted 7 days after creation unless upgraded to a paid plan — upgrading at any point during that window gives the site the same 1-year retention as paid plans. In every case, deletion includes the event website itself and everything on it — photos, invitation pages, story content, RSVP responses, and guestbook messages (text, photo, audio, and video) — along with the underlying files stored in our cloud storage. This deletion is permanent and cannot be undone, so please download or export anything you want to keep (e.g. your RSVP list or guestbook messages) before your website's deletion date.
If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our systems within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), you have the right to:
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to maintain your session on the platform. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
Story Unfold is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are significant, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the platform.
Continued use of Story Unfold after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
